Advice on divorce and children?

Is there any way to file for a divorce, and to have the fathers rights stripped, and to have my current boyfriend adopt, all on my own without a lawyer? I cannot afford one supporting the kids, and NO legal aid services will help me, and I have tried. Their BioFather is in Prison in Idaho and hasn't seen the kids in 7 years. Has sent them nothing but letters only when he is locked up. He just served 3 yrs in Prison for drug use and dealing, and was released on parole 4 months ago, just violated his parole by drug usage again, failure to report for parole, and running when they issued a warrant, and now he has to serve out the rest of his felony sentence of almost 2 years. The kids love my boyfriend now and want him to adopt, we have been together for over 6 years now. I just seem to hit a dead end no matter where I turn for help, and lawyers want far too much money. Anyone know if this is all able to be done on my own? Serious answers only please? Thank youAdvice on divorce and children?
You should check out Idaho Legal Aid in Boise, but they will tell you that you do need a lawyer. Get a lawyer to protect yourself and your kids. Yes, you can have all his rights taken away while he is in prison, but if he gets out it will be MUCH harder and more costly than if you get it done while he is in prison. Legal Aid or the Idaho State Bar Association should have the name of attorneys willing to take cases like this by payments instead of paid in full up front.





Just get it done while he is still in prison or it will be your worst nightmare. Pay the attorney. Your kids lives depend on it.Advice on divorce and children?
If the biological father refuses to give up his parental rights, there is nothing you can do, with or without a lawyer.
you can get a divorce and have the boyfriend adopt the without a lawyer all you have to do is say you don't know where the father is and Haven't seen him in 7 years
