child custody is the issue on my contested divorce(we didnt agree...my ex want it a sole and i want it joint)thats why i contest it in los angeles county.and its been so long that ive waited until i received a joint custody paper and i signed it and returned it back to the court.NOW,HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR US TO WAIT UNTIL ITS FINAL?Divorce advice or idea pls?
Why do you want joint custody. How old is the kid, how does she/he feel about it. Divorce is already hard on children without having their parents fighting all the time. If you have joint custody, will the child go to the same school and keep the same friends. For so many divorce parents, it's a question of control. Very few think about the child. If you both want to have to kid full time, stay married. When my husband and I divorced our first consideration was the kids. I stayed in the apartment and he moved a couple blocks away. We wanted to make things as easy as possible for the kids. We left them in the same school and , the same neighborhood so they could keep their friends. He was able to see them as often as he wanted in his home. When he got older, our older son thanked us for that not making that time more difficult for him.Divorce advice or idea pls?
It is final when the court puts its stamp on it. But you can have joint custody now. If he tries to keep the kids from you call the cops and they will enforce a pending order and plus it makes him look like an unreasonable idiot to the court if he tries to force the kids not to see you. Most courts prefer joint custody for the children's welbeing.
if you cannot agree, you will have to go to court.
it will be final when you have a court order.
陌t could take a week or 谋t could take a year. You are deal谋ng w谋th the courts. They dont get 谋nto a hurry for anyone that 谋snt a mov谋e star or have money.
