In the state of California where I live, alot of attorneys will offer an initial free consultation, usually 30-60 minutes, where you can go and speak with them and ask them questions with no obligation to hire them. Look under ';Attorneys'; in the yellow pages of your phone book and call some of them and see if they offer this service.
