Divorce advice?

should I get a lawyer involved in my divorce if I have a child and we live in MassachusettsDivorce advice?
yes u need an attorney so u know your rights and so u don't get screwed.Divorce advice?
That depends.

If you and he are in agreement about the specifics, and all you need is someone to help get the details straight, then hire what is called a mediating attorney. (Look under attorneys+divorce+ mediating). Get some papers off of the internet, at an office supply place or at your county court house and decide how you two wish them to be filled out. When you meet with a mediating attorney, the less time it takes, the less money it will cost you both.

If you get one, and he gets one, and the two of you have at it in court, you are each looking at $6000. Ever know a poor attorney? Me neither. And it is not in either's interest to settle your divorce quickly, fairly, nor cheaply. Remember that.

Mediating attorneys file what you have agreed upon, and the cost is likely under $500. Call one and ask.

Sweetie, the only way to divorce is civilly. End your marriage as friends... you have a child together that will be in your life forever. And so will its other parent.
Absolutely. Trying to get divorced without a lawyer when there is a child involved is just way too risky if you want custody or access.
Get an attorney, and spend some time looking for one. Don't just go with he first hired gun that can come back to haunt you to
probably a good idea....I would
yes you should and fast if you want custody
