Guy meets girl, have 1 kid, get married and are married for 5 years where upon 2 more kids arrive. Marriage breaks down and wife files for divorce.
There are no assets worth mentioning and both are unemployed. The husband is a student and has large student debt.
What could the wife realistically aim to receive from the husband in terms of maintenance etc and what variables are relevant in this issue.. All children live with the wife abroad but within the EU.
Tricky one huhDivorce advice?
Hate to be mean or have one foot in reality ......
So hubbie has student debt - studied to better himself - so should have good job - both umemployed - they are both parents ...... let me think
'; no sorry honey, you can't have dinner tonight because daddy is paying off his debt and mommy can't work cause who the hell pays the child care ......';
My verdict and am sure an unpopular one:
- Sort the cr*p out and stop being so selfish
- Forget the divorce - both of you need to grow up , get jobs , pay debts and look after your children - they are the important ones in this little dilema
- Do what you need to do for those children
Your concern over maintenance should be your last concern - first worry if you pay none - where will they live, what will they eat and what will they wear???
Sorry to sound bitter - but I was one of those children , caught in the tangled web of love , money and parenting!Divorce advice?
What a sorry saga!
It would be like getting blood from a stone. The guy's broke, so where's the maintenance coming from.?
The best the wife can hope for is a proportion of his future earning.
if unemployed or student the csa will take littlest amount possible from weekly money
liuyuj
hmmmmm..
why are they getting divorced??
i don't think they should
with 3 kids!?!?! no way.
he has to try to convience her NOT TO LEAVE HIM..
she can file child support. so when employed you'll have to pay up
It depends on so many factors. If you are still a student, then the chance are the maintenance will be nil as your 'income' is debt so to speak. If your ex goes through the courts to get maintenance then you can prove you cannot provide at the present time. It would be better if a private arrangement could be made. Anything but the CSA who are a lawless bunch of scum.
Never mind whether the assets are worth mentioning. Hide everything of value.
Clear your bank account out now. They need 6 months of statements. Sell your car etc.
Best of luck.
I think all parents whether mother or father should support their children. SO GET OFF YOUR LAZY *** AND GET A JOB SO YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR KIDS!!!
She can't take what you don't have and that's the bottom line. If you have nothing then don't worry about it. In the US, if a man can't or won't pay child support though, he can have his driving priveldges revoked, or sent to jail. If she's seeking alimony that's crazy..you have nothing..lol
Well my friends mum gets her dad to pay 拢500 per child [theres three of them] But seeing as your unemployed and if your ex is kind she will go for a smaller sum. My mum doesn't make my dad pay for us. Well i live with my dad and my two sisters live with my mum but they don't ask for maintenance because their not rich anymore thanks to the divorce.
Careful with you kids, i changed completly. I went from fun loving confident to shyish sad and depressed. I write killnotes and stuff. Make sure your kids are completly happy and ask if they want to see a consoller. Luckily i'm back to my old self except a couple of things [ easy to get stressed ] But money should hopefully be from 拢50 - 拢500
