Need divorce advice please?

I am wanting to possibally do my own.....have kids but rent so no property involved. Never done this before so please help me!!!Need divorce advice please?
Having personal experience in this matter, I would recommend retaining a lawyer even though you may not own a home or have a good deal of monetary assets.





A lawyer can guide you through this process and make sure that your interests are properly represented.





This can include alimony and child support and the division of personal property. Please don't be in a hurry and work with a lawyer who specializes in divorce.

If you are married, there is to be no divorce.


You must remain true to your vow.


If you divorce and marry again, you commit adultery and that is sin in the face of God.


If you divorce and want to remain single , stay that way
By doing this on your own do you mean without lawyers? And if you have kids, not having a lawyer isn't the best idea. I know it sounds cheaper and I thought about it myself and honestly only you know your situation at home without paying to tell a lawyer as well. Depending on where you live, what you own and what was purchased during the marriage, you will have custody issues, possibilities of community property issues, child support, alimony, etc. If you can agree on everything down the line you can possibly do it on your own but there are some things to consider!!! There is a divorce that is just the two parties agreeing to divorce with no property/custody/alimony etc. involved.

You and your soon to be ex husband can make a deal that you both can agree on. Make arrangments for the kids to see both you and him. This will help so there is not fighting over things and what not. I still suggest you get a lawyer, but if you both can come to an understanding you may not have to go to court.
Its relatively easy to do a pro se divorce in most states if you don't have kids, but kids complicate the issue and usually make it worth hiring an attorney. The thing that was most troubling about my Pro Se filing was that the lawyers don't want the court house employees to answer even the most simple questions for you, so they can't even tell you how many copies of the documents you are required to file. Each state is going to be a little different so this will not be one size fits all.
