i used to be a paralegal. as long as she doesn't fight him divorcing her, this shouldn't be a long drawn out process. however, it also depends on the lawyer. they can actually make it happen within weeks, but some are lazy about it, and for some reason make it turn into months. i would ask around for good lawyers. word of mouth is the best.Information and advice with a divorce?
i have no idea about connecticut or massachusetts laws, but in maryland you don't need a lawyer as long as the two people agree on everything, they just go to court and sign the papers and it's done. it's only like 50 bucks or whatever the papers cost to file and that's it.
there's probably something like that in one of those states, presumably whichever one they got married in. but even if they are divorced he still is going to have to pay child support.
This can be done with the cooperation with his wife, though the court will want to see provision for each child up to the age of eighteen or to the end of their education after that, so if they all go to University could be years down the line before he is better off,and if it gets drawn out, if he is living with someone her earnings get taken into account as well.
